The Software of Future?

I have been thinking about this quite a bit. I remember how data analytics on sales cycle was a rage when organisations realised how real time decisions could effectively drive their sales. This led to this huge "salesforce" , "CRM" , "data analytics" era where techies from bangalore would write code to analyse beer sales in belgium, using this tool called computer vision.

I was 14 years old and had just heard about the word software, I learnt that software is used to write software and that drove me crazy. You mean to say there exists a software which writes other software? Who wrote that software? That's how I discovered assembly and fell in love with this magic of bits and bytes.

Now 14 years later, we are moving into an era of vibe coders where AI tools, are performingly exceptionally well in writing software? It means that most of the software that people will use will be vibe coded and saved by them on cloud.

So imagine if you are a fintech company, there will be payments aspect of your app which will be permanent but there will be more features which will be dynamic and will be created with UI on demand by the user as and when they need it. AI will be smart enough to personalise the user experience for the end customer, thus driving customer satisfaction and overall growth for the organisation. So other features like discounts/analysis spend/ credit card payments UI can be completely customized by the user on the fly which will unlock deeper level personalisation.

A big breakthrough could also come in form of interoperability of data across systems. So you can build interoperable data as it can be modifed to suite a format very relaibly by AI systems. So previous bottlenecks which would make compliance a burden can be seamlessly implmented by AI agents. We are already seeing platform shifts - we have seen coding IDE wars, we are seeing browser  wars happening the next obvious step will obviously will be the OS wars. So far the innovation is sufficient enough to use the AI just in right ways for it to take up. This is why creatives matter more in this industry. In the AI era a true visionary will not be a person who launches products but a person who is able to imagine "possible" ideas and create magic videos out of them so that people can go ahead and actually build it out.
